Camera Shots & Positions

In our last lesson with Mrs Collins we learnt about different camera shots and position which allow the director(s) to express their views about the topic.


We also learnt how close-ups are good for detail and features.




Colours Connotation

Different colours in Media text carry connotations which audience may associate certain ideas with.

Blue- water, angel, sky, peace, health (NHS)
Red- love, devil. happiness, passion, danger, important
Black- antagonist, death, professional, power
Green- nature, life, universe
Yellow- sun, happy, optimism, hazards, warning
Orange- food, warm, spices, Autumn
Pink- Disney, Barbie, feminine
Purple- flowers, royalty, luxurious
White- peace, purity, innocence, cleanliness
Brown- comfort, colour to promote security
Grey- neautral
